Katie Gomez
Katie Gomez is an E-RYT 500 yoga instructor, teacher trainer and mentor, and international retreat leader with over nine years of teaching experience and more than 10,000 hours of instruction. She began teaching yoga at just 18 years old, and what started as a passion for movement quickly became a career centered around helping people feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to themselves. Through yoga, Katie not only found her passion, but also her community—and she eventually began hosting retreats to help others experience that same sense of connection.Over the years, Katie’s teaching has expanded across multiple modalities, including vinyasa, power flow, yoga sculpt, hot Pilates, and yin/restorative practices.
She has helped train and mentor new teachers, supporting instructors as they build confidence, refine their voice, and grow into the kind of teachers they want to become. Her approach to wellness is energetic, inclusive, and rooted in the belief that movement should feel both meaningful and fun.Katie’s love of travel eventually became a natural extension of her work in wellness. In 2023, she led her first international retreat in Croatia, and the experience completely changed the way she viewed both travel and teaching. Bringing people together in a new country created something deeper than a typical vacation or yoga class—it created community, shared memories, lasting bonds, and the kind of connection that can only happen when people step outside their normal routines to experience something new together. What began as one retreat quickly grew into a passion of its own. Since that first experience, Katie has had the opportunity to lead groups through destinations including Greece, Thailand, and Italy, each with its own culture, landscape, and sense of adventure. No two retreats have looked exactly the same, and that is part of what she loves most about creating them. Each trip has strengthened Katie’s belief that travel has the power to push us outside our comfort zones, introduce us to new perspectives, and create friendships and memories that stay with us long after we return home. Her retreats are designed to balance wellness with adventure. Guests can expect thoughtfully curated movement and yoga experiences, but also plenty of room to explore, laugh, eat incredible food, spend time on the water, connect with local culture, and simply enjoy being somewhere beautiful.
Katie believes the best retreats are not overly rigid or scheduled down to the minute—they leave space for spontaneity, connection, and the moments no itinerary could ever plan.Whether flowing together in a beautiful place, sharing stories around the dinner table, sailing somewhere unforgettable, exploring a new town, or dancing with locals, Katie’s goal is always the same: to create experiences that leave people feeling more connected—to themselves, to one another, and to the world around them. For Katie, wellness travel is not about escaping real life. It is about creating a life that feels more expansive, adventurous, and aligned with who you are. She hopes every guest leaves her retreats feeling refreshed, inspired, and a little more willing to say yes to the unknown.
Christina Sholty
Meet Christina! Let’s go all in. Work hard, play hard, move your body, eat the amazing food, stay for one more song (or the whole set), wake up for sunrise, and collect stories instead of excuses. That’s the philosophy Christina lives by.Christina has always believed the best memories come from saying yes. Yes to the last-minute flight, the workout that challenges you, the hidden local restaurant, the dance floor, the adventure you didn’t plan, and the people you meet along the way. As a fitness instructor, Christina genuinely loves helping people feel strong, confident, and capable of doing more with their lives.
To her, fitness isn’t something you have to do—it’s what gives you the energy to book the trip, keep up with every adventure, and fully experience everything life has to offer.Growing up, Christina watched people in her family struggle with their health, their confidence, and their energy. It made her realize early on that fitness isn’t just about the workout—it’s about what that workout allows you to do. When you feel strong, healthy, and confident, you’re more willing to say yes to the things that make life exciting. That’s always been what inspires her to teach.Travel has become one of Christina’s greatest passions because she truly believes this world is too incredible to stay in one place. She loves experiencing the cultures, the people, the music, the food, and everything that makes each destination unique. She believes we only get one life and wants to experience as much of it as possible. Many of her favorite memories have come from solo adventures, where she booked the flight, trusted herself, and discovered that some of life’s greatest experiences begin just outside her comfort zone.
Christina also believes we all have something special to bring to the places we visit. Every conversation, every connection, and every shared experience has the chance to leave both people a little better than before. When she’s not teaching, Christina is probably planning her next passport stamp, finding the best local food, turning the music up a little too loud, laughing until her stomach hurts, or convincing everyone around her to say yes to something fun.She doesn’t believe you have to choose between discipline and having a great time—you can have both.If there’s one thing Christina hopes people take away from spending time with her, it’s the confidence to keep saying yes. Yes to another trip. Yes to trying something new. Yes to introducing yourself to the stranger who might become your lifelong friend. She’s naturally a connector, and nothing makes her happier than bringing people together and making sure everyone feels seen, included, and welcomed. Christina believes some of the greatest adventures begin with the people you meet along the way, and she hopes this retreat is just the beginning of many more adventures together.Life’s too short to play it safe. Take the trip. Order the local specialty. Stay for the encore. Make the memories.
